A little about Creative Roots
Creative Roots is run by Poppy. A qualified teacher with 8 years’ experience as an art teacher in mainstream education and holds a Degree in Costume with Performance Design and a QTS in Art & Design. She has worked in secondary schools teaching multiple subjects from year 7 to Year 13. She aims to provide individualised support, teaching in a way that suits how each child learns best, and creating a learning environment where every child feels understood, supported, and able to thrive.
What’s on offer
1:1 home education session for all children, including those who have experienced school-based anxiety, who are neurodivergent, have special education needs or families that have simply chosen to home educate.
Use of the National Curriculum as a guide for structure and progression, but learning is always adapted to suit each child’s needs, pace, and interests.
For children working towards qualifications, whether they are in school or home educated, I offer exam preparation for GCSE Art & Design as well as a portfolio review for those who need a one off input.
Creative Roots is designed to complement the learning you do at home, offering specialist support in creative subjects while keeping sessions calm, child centred, and responsive. Let me handle the mess!
